About the game
Spitting Sugar is a 3D Puzzle Plattformer, made within two weeks for the Beginners Circle Jam #2. It has 10 Levels for you to beat!
We are a team of three from Germany and this was our first Game Jam we ever participated in, as well as the first real game we developed. A big thank you to our playtesters <3

This was really well done! Very suprised at how polished it was!
I thought this game concept was super neat! The use of different candy to solve puzzles was great....i did struggle on some puzzles tho but that's just because I'm dumb :'D The game looks excellent and definitely fit the theme of the jam good work! :D Game play starts at 5:56 if interested :)
Hey. I recorded a video about the Beginners Circle jam and included your game in it. I enjoyed playing your project. It is a fun game with interesting ways to go through levels. I wish it had checkpoints sometimes. I did not find any bugs or issues so far. Great job. If you want to cut your game out of the video, let me know. However, if you like the video, I make similar videos every day. I will be happy if you subscribe. Anyway, I enjoyed playing your game.

Great. Finally something three-dimensional!
I liked how different kind of projectiles interacted with each other, wasn't expecting that.

Cats are somewhat unpredictable.
Last level was slightly hard for me, it required so many attempts to complete.
Found a little bug:this wall has no collider, so you can fall out of level. Even had to restart the level from the menu since it's possible to return back inside, but no way to progress after that since all the cylinder candies are left near the cats. And there's even no easter egg in this location, that's a real flaw! I really expected to see some texture on the other side of the wall, saying 'you aren't supposed to be here!', and developer's photos.
We noticed the bug now and are trying to fix it. For some reason a lot of colliders in level 10 broke for no reason, so we probably missed that one. (And yo uare right, we really missed that Opportunity! But we were also very short on time at the end :D)
Also the last Level definitely has some elements we are not happy with, which is why we put it at the last spot. That level has been made at the last day of the jam, because we really wanted a tower-level
Well, it's good, just hard, because when you fail, you loose so much progress. Maybe a couple of checkpoints for respawn (instead of just restarting the whole thing from the very beginning) would solve it.
We wanted to implement checkpoints for our game, but sadly we didn't have time to program them :(
