MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1), Dual-Boot with Windows 7 Pro Posted on Feb 21, 2014 11:17 AM Reply I have this question too (12) I have this question too Me too (12) Me too. Open System Preferences from your Mac's dock or Applications folder. Click Date & Time. Uncheck the box next to Set date and time automatically if it's checked. Highlight the part of the date (month, day, or year) that you want to change in the date readout.
When you’re booting your Mac from the recovery partition and are planning to reinstall OS X, you might be met by the following message:
An error occurred while preparing the installation. Try running again
Now, if you haven’t used your Mac for a while, the error might be caused by an incorrect system date setting. You can check this by going to utilities and opening the terminal. Once in the terminal enter the following command and hit return/enter:
The result of this command will be the date that the system currently has been set to. For some reason, it might have been reset to 2001, in which case we need to set it to the right date. To do this, we enter a new command. This command will be entered as follows:
Every bracket should be replaced with a two-digit number based on UTC time. Below you see what the command should be for your current time and date – . To avoid trouble with timezones, we will use UTC time instead (). Which means, you can just enter it exactly like this:
Enter the command and hit return. You can then check if it was set correctly by running the first command again. If the date was wrong, it was likely that which caused the error, and after you quit the terminal it should be able to install OS X just fine.

Tesla Model S vs. Model X
It's been about a month since I sold our Tesla Model S 70D, as our Model X 90D 6-seater was about to arrive. Now that I am used to the Model X, I thought I might do a write up comparing the two. Both cars are absolutely great though – more…
Tibber – the Electric power company for the future
Electric power companies, in general, are pretty much the same. Tibber however, is unlike any electricity company I had seen before. They try to utilise the data we get from smart devices, which they also sell, to save electricity, money and the environment, as well as improving comfort. It’s a…
Internationalising date strings in Craft
When working with Craft CMS and translating strings, you might need to translate dates as well. After all, countries format these differently. For example, while the US often uses 'month day year' we in Norway use 'day month year'. Other differences can be wether they use dashes, slashes or just…

Hi everyone, thanks so much for all your comments - it's really wonderful to see everyone's enthusiasm for a desktop version of Timepage! We don't always get a chance to respond to every comment so here is a general update of where we are at - our apologies for not commenting sooner.
It's a large undertaking and investment to build and release a Mac version of Timepage (regardless of Catalyst), and we're a small team - we're doing the best we can to prioritise.
Our plan is to release web and desktop version of Actions first, to enable syncing across iPhone, iPad, Android and Mac/Windows. We've recently taken a big step with this approach - you can access Actions on the web at https://actions.moleskinestudio.com
Timepage is currently iOS only, but it syncs with your calendar provider (Google/Apple/Exchange/etc) so you can use any calendar app you'd like on non-iOS devices and everything will stay up to date.
We are currently building a macOS version of Timepage but it's a huge project - so while we're hoping to release it this year we can't confirm a definite timeline just yet. Thanks again for your support and feedback, we'll keep you up to date as best we can!

I’m an iOS/macOS developer myself, and I recently built a counterfeit Timepage for macOS just to have a consistent experience across my devices. I hope this expresses how eagerly we all want a desktop version of this app. Looking forward to the official launch!

@DrClavan: This app is designed for personal use, but I guess it would hurt if I share it with you guys. I made a new version for public release and you can download it here: https://github.com/rogerchenchenn/timepage-for-macos
I will immediately remove the file if bonobo or moleskine ever ask me to, don’t be surprised if one day the link fails. Enjoy the app!

im really looking forward to when this is available to use on a web browser. I love the design and the heatmap feature, i love that in the morning it gives me a rundown of how busy my day is going to be BUT I dont think i'm getting as much out of it if I can only use it on my phone. I have a one month sub to see if I can swing it just on my mobile but if it feels too clunky, I'll just have to wait to see if it ever becomes browser compatible. would love an update to see how it's going!!!
